Step 1
From your computer desktop, select 'Start'. Then select 'All Programs'.
Select 'Windows Update'.
You web browser will open the following Windows update web site.
Select 'Express Install'.
The message “'Checking for updates' will appear on the screen.
Follow the prompts to successfully update Windows XP.
To finish the updates, restart your computer.
