Expansion of the SAFElink™ Service Relationship Management Platform Delivers Broadest Support

BILLERICA, MA – (January, 31, 2011) – PlumChoice today announced an expansion of its SAFElink Service Relationship Management Platform to provide advanced services for mobile devices. This expansion continues PlumChoice's leadership in delivering integrated and unique services for services to the small business and consumer markets. PlumChoice pioneered mobile technology services in 2008 and has been servicing smartphones and mobile computing devices since that time. Services cover a broad range of devices including netbooks, tablets and smartphones, iPhone®, iPad®, iPod® with operating systems such as Android™, iOS®, Blackberry® and Windows™ Phone 7.

According to Fred King, Chief Operating Officer, "Our SAFElink platform now delivers expanded integrated mobile technology services to assure our partner's customers stay connected and simplify their busy lives. Our expert mobile technicians use 'over-the-air' technology to set up, install, configure and customize the most used and popular smartphones and mobile computing devices. As part of our service, we also provide training and troubleshooting. We have years of experience with Apple's iOS and we are leveraging that to provide a great customer experience with Android-based devices." PlumChoice made the decision to extend its SAFElink platform to include "over-the-air" mobile technology support for Android devices including smartphones and tablets in the second half of 2010. This decision was based on strong partner and market demand and the need for a higher level of support for these complex devices. PlumChoice provides comprehensive premium technology services for smartphones and mobile access points.

PlumChoice analyzed thousands of mobile service sessions it performed in 2010 and found that support falls into the following areas:

  • Connecting the mobile device to a home or small business network and computer environment
  • Setting up personal and business email accounts
  • Educating the customer how to use their mobile device and understand its key features
  • Helping the customer download desired applications
  • Ensuring data is backed up and synchronized with a server, PC, Mac® or mobile device

PlumChoice announces that it has enhanced its line mobile technology services for consumers and SMBs in Q1, 2011; this includes the following line of mobile services:

  • Set Up Services including device configuration and training
  • Device Security/Protections Plans including device back up and anti-theft
  • All Inclusive Monthly Service Plans covering device configuration, ongoing 24/7 support, troubleshooting, back up and anti-theft protection
