Supported Hardware & Software

For a secure and healthy PC, get a healthy PC subscription plan. This monthly PC SmartPlan includes unlimited* online computer support & nonstop, automatic backup** for your PC.

This document outlines specific support issues and equipment that is supported and issues and equipment that is not supported. If you have any questions about the terms of support for the PC SmartPlan, please contact PlumChoice toll free at 1-888-PLUM-HELP (758-6435).

Minimum System Requirements:

Windows XP operating system and a broadband internet connection.

What We Support
  • Any Windows XP PC (desktop or laptop) - diagnose and fix problems, PC tune-up, security, software support
  • MP3 Player - set up your new player (iPod), learn to rip a CD, download music, iTunes or Windows Media Player
  • Digital Camera - set up, learn how to transfer and print digital photos
  • PDAs - get connectivity help with a Blackberry or Treo
  • SmartPhone/VOIP - help with connectivity, downloading, internet applications
  • Virus/Spyware - set up and support for PlumChoice anti-spyware and anti-virus applications, identify and remove threats
  • Backup and File Restore** - set up and support for automatic online backup and restoration of data files (to any PC): photos, documents, music and emails; up to 10GB of storage
  • Microsoft Office - installation and operation, does not include training


What We Do Not Support
  • Hardware - training or any hardware related issues
  • Printer - errors messages, update drivers, printer sharing
  • Scanner - errors messages, update drivers, training
  • Router/Network Devices - set up or support for small networks, security and file sharing
  • In-Home/In-Office Support - on-site support by a certified technician. See rates below.

General Terms
  • Customer's use of the Plan is governed by the Terms of Service and other policies.
  • Twelve (12) month subscription plan. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable.
  • Upon sign-up, credit card will be charged a sign-up fee of $89.95, which includes the first thirty (30) days of service. Thereafter, customers will be billed monthly on the first of each month.
  • Option to save 5% with annual pre-pay. Customer will be charged $346.18 at outset of plan, a savings of $18.22.
  • For the annual subscriptions, each will automatically renew after the first year on a month to month basis. After the first year, customer may cancel at anytime with thirty (30) days written notice.
  • PlumChoice reserves the right to terminate and/or change the terms of service at any time with thirty (30) days written notice.
  • Customer is required to allow the installation and maintenance of the PlumChoice anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
  • PlumChoice is not responsible for issues caused by the customer, or any other person that has access to the computer, adjusting, removing and/or disabling the anti-virus or anti-spyware software installed by PlumChoice.
  • What we support - this plan includes installation, usage and navigation for all PlumChoice supported applications (and diagnostic assessment only for those not supported by PlumChoice). See above.
  • What we do not support - " What we do not support - this plan does not include support for accounting, financial, database, CAD/CAM or similar software; network, router printer or scanner support. See above.
  • By initiating the subscription plan, the customer agrees to allowing ongoing maintenance by PlumChoice where applicable.
*Unlimited Online PC Support - refers to support for a single PC and specific issues outlined above. If PlumChoice determines that any customer is abusing or otherwise using the service excessively, customer will be notified and PlumChoice may restrict or terminate customer's access to the service. If PlumChoice determines a customer is using the service for illegal or inappropriate activities, this may be deemed reason to cancel subscription. Please see the Terms of Service for details. At PlumChoice, we also offer On-Site Computer Support (in-home/in-office visit) at an additional rate of $119 per hour. If you need in-home or in-office computer support, our certified on-site technicians are on-call and available nationwide. To request an on-site service call, simply log in to your account and request the best date and time for a visit.

**Plan includes up to 10GB of storage - for any more than 10GB, with a max of 50GB, PlumChoice reserves the right to charge an additional $10.
